Dil Chahta Hai
"Akshaye Khanna, son of actor-politician Vinod Khanna, was born and brought up in Mumbai. He did his schooling at Bombay International and later went to Lovedale School, Ooty and graduated from HR College, Mumbai. He entered the film arena at the young age of 21. Akshaye’s debut ‘Himalay Putra’ was produced by Daddy Khanna. Though the flick didn’t achieve any Himalayan feat, Akshaye’s talents were recognized. His silver lining came in the form of J.P. Dutta’s ‘Border’ that was followed by yet another spurt of not very successful films. But the winds of change seem to have worked their wonder in the year 2001. Subhash Ghai’s ‘Taal’ gave him much to look forward to. Akshaye has tried his hands at all kinds of cinema – love stories, thrillers, comedy, and is today hailed as one of the most versatile actors present."
Akshaye Khanna has repeatedly done well in each movie he has been a part of. I particularly enjoyed him in Dil Chahta Hai. He projects a very amiable and likable character in every role he takes on. He has a very natural and casual approach to his roles, and it makes all of his characters very real and believable.
I don't have a whole lot more to add to this. Instead I'll let his roles speak for themselves. The short version - he is a very enjoyable and talented actor. You won't be disappointed.
